Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in Math at Webster University, and my master's degree in Math from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. I was raised in a family of teachers, so the importance of education has been a touchpoint all my life. I have been teaching math for fifteen years, and have enjoyed tutoring students ranging from elementary schoolers to adult students for over two decades. I am passionate about mathematics, and I love to share my number sense with all of my students. I am able to tutor many subjects, ranging from algebra to trigonometry and pre-calculus to elementary math. I also enjoy helping students prepare for standardized tests like the ACT, ACCUPLACER, CAHSEE, GED, and GMAT. No matter which subject I am tutoring, I aim to make math understandable by showing students the everyday applications of math concepts. As a tutor, I enjoy getting to know the unique challenges of every student I work with in order to match my teaching style to his or her learning style. I like to make learning math a hands-on experience for students of every age! When I'm not tutoring, I like to spend time cooking, writing, sewing, camping, and cycling.
